Investment Properties

Investment properties are income-producing properties, such as rental properties. These are purchased to create another stream of income while also increasing an investor’s net-worth and equity position in the real estate market.

Although it is true that mortgages for investment properties are slightly less attractive than owner-occupied properties because they usually come with higher interest rates and stricter down payment requirements, this is offset by the additional stream of income created, tax write-offs, and increase in net worth. These can be so attractive that we’ve even worked with clients who own 17 different investment properties!
